Fourlakes Design Build services
The cabinet shop on Atwood Ave
Our shop is the difference between remodeling around stock boxes and building a room that fits like it grew there. It is open to clients: come stand in the sawdust and see your kitchen mid-build.
Start a conversation
Four benches, a finishing room, and a small crew led by Gus Reyes, who has built cabinetry for thirty years. We work mostly in rift and quartersawn white oak, walnut, and painted maple, with five-piece doors, dovetailed drawers, and finishes cured in a dust-controlled room instead of on your driveway.
The shop also takes a handful of standalone commissions each year: built-in libraries, banquettes, mudroom systems, and furniture-grade islands for kitchens that otherwise just need a refresh.
How it works
How a project runs
- 01
Walk the house
We meet at your home, talk scope and budget honestly, and tell you on the spot if we are not the right fit.
- 02
Design in the shop
Drawings, 3D previews, and materials you can hold, in the studio attached to our workshop. Ends with a fixed price.
- 03
Build it once
A posted calendar, a dust wall, a broom-clean site every night, and cabinetry arriving from a mile away instead of a freight dock.
- 04
Come back in winter
Final walkthrough, then the Second Winter visit 14 months later to make right anything the seasons moved.

The Cabinet Shop questions
Can we hire the shop without a full remodel?
Yes. We take a limited number of standalone cabinetry commissions each year, typically booked two to three months out.
